About

Ladybird Landscapes was started in 2004 and we pride ourselves on a conscientious, ethical and sympathetic approach to landscape design, from concept to completion. Located on the Pembrokeshire coast, we are well aware of the extreme conditions a garden may have to withstand, and of the importance of good design in creating an outdoor space which will improve your enjoyment of your garden.

We work with only the best materials, from local stone and sustainable timber to glass and metal. Ladybird Landscapes is committed to protecting and preserving the environment and will not use any material taken from unsustainable sources.

"It is important that whilst catering to all our clients' requirements we also design gardens which blend with and enhance their natural surroundings; especially in a place as beautiful as Pembrokeshire."

Personal Details

Lucy comes from a family of gardeners, and has had a keen interest in the natural environment from a very early age. A degree in Textile Design was followed by some years working for specialist design companies in London, plus an annual 'pilgrimage' to Chelsea Flower Show. Plants are Lucy's passion, using their shapes, colours and textures to enhance her designs, whilst being aware of their needs and requirements from the soil and location. Lucy has successfully completed a National Diploma in Horticulture and Garden Design.

Jamie's background is in Boat Design and Boat Building, studying at Falmouth Marine College in the early 1990s. He has developed his skills as a craftsman in the boat-building industry and is used to working with a variety of materials, using them to their best effect and potential. His practical and creative input into the design process complements the overall effect, often using quite an organic approach to the shapes and layout of the finished project.
